Finding Great Recipe Ideas


It’s been a long time coming, but we have finally started cooking on our wood fired oven.

It’s nothing short of incredible. The taste that the wood gives the food is like nothing else that I’ve tried. The intense heat means that the food doesn’t have time to dry out, it’s cooked before it knows what has happened to it!

Like a lot of things with The Wild Oven, the process is involving a lot of experimentation. From the type of wood we use, to what recipes work best. A grey January afternoon spent getting inspiration from recipe books and the vast seas of information on the internet is, in my mind, a grey January afternoon well spent. Hopefully, when I try out my lemon, rosemary and chicken drumsticks on our guests this evening will be in agreement!
