On the Road to Reality

How do we get ourselves back to normal after the past few years of uncertainty? Read The Wild Oven's advice on feeling optimistic for the future, and how we as a business are gearing up for a jam packed year, full of new events!

There’s no kidding ourselves, the past couple of years have been some of the toughest yet. The coronavirus pandemic has led to disappointment, isolation and the constant repetition of the words ‘sorry we’re postponing’. I don’t know about you, but I sure am a bit fed up with it all.

But, as William Faulkner so graciously put it, ‘You cannot swim for new horizons until you have courage to lose sight of the shore.’ This year isn’t for forgetting what we’ve been through but learning to move on from it and adapting to feel more hopeful again.

We need to give ourselves the opportunity to have something to look forward to and be optimistic about, (even if it’s just what we’re having for dinner tonight!). When a situation arises that fills our minds with negativity, we must search for the positives within, because even though we can’t change what has happened, we can change how we respond to it. To sit and wallow is human nature, but it’s what we do afterwards that really matters.

So let’s make plans! If it’s all we can do to carry on, then that’s what we shall do. Introducing some sort of structure into our lives is the ticket to being more hopeful, so let’s crack on and do it…

Here in our Warwickshire home at The Wild Oven, we have taken on the fresh perspective of ‘a new year, new faces and new memories to be made’. We are moving forward into a bright future, whilst not forgetting the lessons we’ve learned in the last two years. We intend to continue putting smiles on faces and offering only the very best of our unique services, to those just looking to have a good time and some really great food.

We want to help make sure that those plans you make to look forward to, are everything you hoped they would be. There have been enough disappointments, what with a pandemic and all that! We want to put an end to those ‘ever so sorry’ and ‘unfortunately due to the unforeseen’ conversations. Planning can be stressful, and that’s the one thing nobody needs this year!

We believe that having structure and making plans is one of the best ways to be more hopeful and get back in touch with reality. If you agree but need some help getting there, get in touch today and let us help you cater your way into a fabulous 2022!

AND REMEMBER…

“When you’re at the end of your rope, tie a knot and hold on.”Theodore Roosevelt
