From farm to fire, we cook food that people gather around.

Sometimes that means a wood fired feast, cooked live over flames and served down long tables. Sometimes it means generous grazing tables, full of seasonal food designed for sharing. Most often, it is a combination of both.

What matters is not the format. It is the quality of the food, how it is cooked, and how it is served.

At The Wild Oven, everything we do is built around great ingredients, confident cooking, and food that brings people together.

How Couples Usually Choose to Eat

Most weddings we cater follow a natural rhythm.

It almost always begins with canapés. Thoughtful bites served as guests arrive and settle in. Enough to feel generous, without stealing focus from what comes next.

For the main event, couples usually choose one of two approaches.

A wood fired feast, cooked live over fire. This can be served down long tables in our sharing style, or as a more festival inspired service where guests are drawn towards the fire and the cooking becomes part of the atmosphere.

Or a grazing main, focused entirely on the food itself. Generous feasting tables or side tables layered with artisan cheeses, locally cured meats, breads, and accompaniments (that’s an over long word that I can’t think of a shorter one for). No fire, no theatre, just really good food designed to be shared.

Dessert always comes as a station. Laid out for guests to help themselves, keeping things relaxed and social rather than formal.

As the day moves into the evening, couples choose what suits the mood. Wood fired pizzas when energy is high, or a more relaxed grazing table when people want something easy to come back to between drinks and dancing.

We help you shape this flow so it feels effortless on the day, with food that supports the celebration rather than interrupting it.

We cook in all sorts of spaces, from open fields and farms to estates and fully equipped venues.

Every venue has its own requirements. Where there are additional considerations, we explain them clearly and sense check everything with you before confirming your booking.

Four choices, two fire cooked, two ambient.

Crostini canapé station

Three choices, served from a relaxed grazing style station.

Sharing wood fired feast
£35 per guest
Two hot wood fired dishes and two seasonal salads, served to tables for sharing.

Festival style wood fired feast
£25 per guest
Two hot wood fired dishes and two vibrant salads, served with the theatre and atmosphere of live fire cooking.

Seated grazing feast
£22 per guest
A grazing style main served to tables, focused entirely on great food designed to be shared.

Side table grazing
£18 per guest
A more relaxed grazing main served from a central table for guests to help themselves.

Dessert station
£11 per guest
A generous selection of desserts laid out for guests to enjoy at their own pace.

Setup and Service

Wood fired setup and service
£1,700 for sharing feasts
£1,300 for festival style feasts

Grazing setup and service
£1,300 for seated grazing
£900 for grazing side tables

Includes our experienced event team and travel within 45 minutes of B49 6NE, with travel up to two hours available at an additional cost. Wood fired events include our wood fired ovens and full on site kitchen setup.
