It Started With Fire.
The Wild Oven began with a simple belief: great food has a remarkable way of bringing people together.
Not around perfectly plated courses or formal dining rooms, but around crackling fires, generous tables and meals that are made to be shared.
What started with a wood-fired oven and a sense of adventure has grown into a team creating unforgettable gatherings across the country, but the heart of what we do hasn't changed.
We still believe the best celebrations begin with great people, exceptional ingredients and fire.
More than a caterer
We're in the business of bringing people together.
Yes, we cook over fire.
Yes, we source exceptional British produce.
Yes, we love building beautiful grazing tables and unforgettable feasts.
But those things are simply how we do what we do.
What really matters are the conversations that begin around the table, the laughter shared over another helping and the memories people carry home long after the last ember has faded.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
Like many good stories, ours didn't begin with a grand business plan.
It began with curiosity.
A wood-fired oven.
A Land Rover.
And the belief that cooking over fire could create something people wouldn't forget.
There were plenty of lessons along the way. Trailers broke down. Fires didn't always behave. We learnt by doing, adapted quickly and kept saying yes to opportunities that pushed us forward.
Every challenge shaped who we are today.
Not just better cooks, but better hosts.
THE DEFENDER
Over time, the Defender became much more than transport.
It became the heart of The Wild Oven.
A kitchen on wheels that allows us to cook almost anywhere, bringing theatre, warmth and the unmistakable atmosphere of live fire wherever we go.
Guests don't simply wait for food.
They gather.
They watch.
They talk.
The Defender has become part of countless celebrations, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
ROOTED IN BRITISH PRODUCE
Everything begins with exceptional ingredients.
We work with trusted farmers, growers and artisan producers who care as deeply about quality as we do, celebrating the seasons and letting great produce speak for itself.
When the ingredients are this good, our role is simply to respect them.

IN HONOUR OF JAMES
The Wild Oven was built on friendship, shared ambition and a love of bringing people together.
James was an integral part of that journey.
His creativity, calm nature and unwavering belief in doing things properly helped shape the business from the very beginning.
Although he's no longer with us, his influence lives on in every gathering we create, every fire we light and every table we bring together.
His legacy remains at the heart of The Wild Oven.
