We're looking for a kitchen team leader:
This role will involve varied responsibilities both within event preparation, assisting in the general running of the kitchen and also in the smooth delivery of on site at events.

Billesley, near Stratford upon Avon B49 6NE
Plus events within a 2 hour travel radius of our base, with travel time and mileage paid for beyond 30 minutes/10 miles.

Hours:
Fixed-term contract
30 – 40 hours per week (Hours are to be fixed at the recruitment stage based on your needs, and are inclusive of event hours)
Hours are flexible, however a typical week in the summer could be;
Tuesday to Friday 8am – 3pm
Saturday 9am – 9pm
Salary:
Depending on experience: £13.50 – £15 per hour
For your guidance, the full time equivalent at 40 hrs per week: £28,080- £31,200 per year
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing food-handling staff to underpin our values and quality expectations
Overseeing
- Event preparation
- Food preparation
- Event packing (Including food and equipment packs)
- The Safer Food Better Business (SFBB) food safety management; records and practices
- Ensuring that all food-handling staff comply with the above
- Introducing new employees to SFBB practices and delivery of basic hygiene training
- Strong and consistent communication with the Event Coordinators
- Presence on-site at events, including some weekends
- Wood fired cooking at events

Requirements
- Drivers license preferred and access to a vehicle
- No direct previous experience required
- Respect for food health and safety standards
- Knowledge of wood-fired cooking is useful but not essential
- Weekdays with some flexible weekend availability

The role involves learning multiple avenues of event delivery whilst being given high quality training, responsibility and involvement in all aspects of the business.
