Food worth gathering around
Big flavours. Brilliant produce. Smoke, char, pickles, sauces made from scratch and plenty of good things passed around the table.
Our food is generous, relaxed and made for sharing. From grazing tables and canapés to feasts cooked over fire, puddings and late-night food, you can build a menu around the way you actually want your day to feel.
Come hungry.
Two ways to Feast
OVER Fire
This is Wild Oven in full swing.
Our Defender Kitchens roll into your venue, the fires are lit and the cooking becomes part of the day.
Build your feast with something to get things started, followed by generous platters of meat and vegetables cooked over fire, big seasonal salads, house pickles and punchy sauces.
Have it served generously down the middle of the table for everyone to share, or go festival style, with guests collecting their food straight from the wood-fired oven in front of the Defender.
Pass it around and get stuck in, or grab a plate and head back for seconds.
Grazing
Abundant, colourful and gloriously informal.
Our grazing feasts bring together brilliant cheeses and charcuterie, breads, dips, pickles, seasonal produce and all the good bits in between.
Have it laid along the tables ready for everyone to sit down and share, or create a grazing table where guests can wander up, fill a plate and come back whenever they fancy.
And grazing doesn't have to be something before dinner.
It can be the main event.
OR DON'T CHOOSE.
Start with grazing and move onto something cooked over fire. Have canapés before a wood-fired feast. Add a seated dessert. Fire up the Defender again for pizza later.
The menu is designed to be mixed, matched and built around your event.

GOOD FOOD STARTS WITH GOOD PRODUCE
We're lucky to cook in the Cotswolds, surrounded by people who care enormously about what they grow, rear, bake and make.
We use brilliant British and local produce wherever we can and let the seasons do some of the menu planning for us.
We pickle. We preserve. We make our sauces and dips. And when there's bread on the table, you'll find plenty from our friends at MOR Bakery.
Simple things, done properly.
