A Country Wedding with Fire-Cooked Feasting in the Cotswolds
Nestled in the rolling Cotswolds, this wedding was everything a couple could dream of: relaxed, rustic, and full of heart. Under the canvas of a sweeping marquee at the bride’s farm, guests came together to share in an extraordinary celebration centred around fire-cooked food, generous hospitality, and the unmistakable joy of the British countryside.

The Setting
With panoramic rural views and a perfectly positioned marquee from our friends at Bohemia Canvas, this outdoor wedding in the Cotswolds made the most of Summer sunshine and long golden evenings. Long banquet-style tables welcomed 160 guests for the wedding breakfast, laid out with purpose and ease to allow the feast to flow and the speeches to resonate.
The Feast
This celebration featured a two-wave dining experience, a creative solution for a larger guest list and a schedule packed with music, speeches, and dancing. The couple opted for a relaxed sharing-style menu, perfectly suited to the informal, sociable feel of the day.
Canapés in the Meadow
The fire was lit early, and by 3:45pm, our team was serving up rounds of:
+ Crispy belly pork with a tangy apple sauce
+ Smokin’ Brothers salmon and horseradish crème on croccantini
+ Lemon & mint ricotta with caramelised onion chutney crostini (v)
+ Jerusalem artichoke chips with aioli (ve)
Guests sipped on welcome drinks while enjoying live music, with fire-cooked aromas drifting across the lawn.
A Fire-Cooked Sharing Starter
At 6:40pm, guests were seated inside the marquee for a table-laden starter spread featuring:
+ Honey & hoisin-glazed chipolatas
+ British charcuterie and hard cheeses with orange blossom honey
+ Roasted red peppers with gremolata (v)
+ MOR Bakery sourdough with Netherend Farm butter
The perfect mix of indulgence and countryside charm.
Main Course from the Flames
As twilight settled, the wood-fired oven took centre stage for the main course:
+ Lemon and thyme confit free-range chicken thighs
+ Rosemary, chilli, and maple belly pork
+ Garden bean salad with garlic oil and mint (ve)
+ New potato salad with capers and red onion (ve)
+ Homemade aioli and salsa verde
Each dish was designed to bring people together around flavour and fire, the very heart of what we do.
A Sweet Finish
No wedding feast is complete without something indulgent to round it off. Guests helped themselves to MOR Bakery’s rich chocolate brownie, served simply with pouring cream, a crowd-pleasing end to a bold, fire-cooked menu.
Laid out alongside truffles, tea, and coffee on a relaxed side table, it encouraged guests to graze, mingle, and ease into the evening.
A Late-Night Bite
As the dancefloor filled and the band played on, the scent of sizzling bacon drifted through the evening air. Guests were invited up to our wood-fired oven housed in the Land Rover Defender, where they could watch their food being cooked over flame, a little theatre to keep the energy high.
We served succulent bacon rolls in MOR brioche (of course!), alongside plant-based patties in gluten- and dairy-free rolls for vegetarian guests. A late-night feast cooked with flair and fire, fuelling the celebrations well into the early hours.
The Details That Matter
This wedding wasn’t just about food, it was about creating a moment in time that felt effortless, warm, and entirely personal. From carefully planned dietary requirements to flexible wave-based serving, every element was considered to make the day flow beautifully.

Client Testimonials
We’re afraid we don’t have much more to add, on top of the glowing reviews from all our guests.
We would also like to say a massive thanks to you and those behind the scenes too. The timelines and communication from you have been so clear along the way, and we really appreciated the clarity throughout the booking process and in the run up to the big day. It really did make us feel very at ease (we had other contractors who were very difficult in comparison!)
A big thank you again! You were all amazing – and we wish we could just have one more pizza to remember it all again!

You and the team were absolutely incredible and every guest I spoke to said how happy you all were and warm and friendly.
Even with the canapés and everything, each step of the way you guys went out of your way to make this day so special.
The food was more than I could have imagined and it tasted so good, throughout the day I was just blown away.
I have never met a serving team who have been so warm and professional.
Words can’t explain if I’m honest and I want to thank you for that.
Also thank you for the lovely card, such a lovely personal touch.

We cannot thank you and the team enough for last Saturday, you were all so wonderful to work with and the food, from the canapés to the pizza, was just outstanding! We had so many comments from our guests, it was all delicious.
Not only was the food amazing, but there were so many little things that you did that really stood out and I felt went above and beyond. Firstly, tracking us down after the ceremony to feed us (very appreciated!), secondly – I loved the cards you placed down for our vegetarian, gluten-free, etc friends, explaining the adjustments (so thoughtful and just a really lovely touch), finally, we had a last minute addition of our niece (she’s just turned one) and we heard that your team brought over a special place with some mashed potatoes etc for her. Again, these small but meaningful gestures did not go unnoticed, so thank you.

The team were faultless! Everything went smoothly, we’ve had nothing but positive feedback and no issues have arisen to myself or Alex which is amazing considering we have some picky guests!
The food was incredible, just how we remember it on the tasting day we had with yourselves. Everyone has commented how tasty it all was and how brilliant it was.
The land rover made our day absolutely perfect, it looked insane next to our tipi and we had so many comments about how cool it was and what a great idea.
We absolutely loved having you supply our wedding food and I only wish we could do it all again so that we can have you back!!! Pizzas were incredible, I think one guest had about 6 to himself haha!
